Instruction to check you have a "Short Shaft Engine": 

The sprocket nut thread is 12mm (not 10mm like the Long Shaft Engines). Then measure from the crank seal in the crankcase to end of crankshaft as the Short Shaft crank is around 50mm. The Long shaft crank is around 65mm
